President's Address

Hello, and welcome to our WWW site. The Minnesota Active Chapter of Triangle is proud of the work done by several Brothers in making our site as useful and informative as possible. I am pleased to know that you are interested in learning more about Triangle.

I have frequently been asked what Triangle is all about. Although it is difficult to sum Triangle up concisely, I would have to say that Triangle Fraternity is about opportunities - the opportunity to develop as a man and a scholar, the opportunity to enjoy the true university experience, and most importantly the opportunity to make friendships that last well beyond your college years.

The enthusiasm that comes from a group of men with a common purpose coming together cannot be matched by any other college experience. At Triangle, we exhibit this enthusiasm every day. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our enthusiasm! Once again, welcome to our site and enjoy!

Sincerely,
Adam Momsen
President, Minnesota Chapter of Triangle Fraternity

Recruitment Address

There are many reasons to join Triangle, but we believe the main reason is because you are looking for more in your college education than a diploma. Triangle is based upon Brotherhood -- that is, the feeling of friendship among members with a common interest (engineering, architecture, and the sciences). Being actively involved in the University can make the difference in your college and professional career. But don't take our word for it, read what others have written:

"Organizations such as fraternities and sororities offer students opportunities to develop working and social relationships, an appreciation of the rich cultural diversity at our institution, and leadership skills that will serve you well in your career or in your community as we move into the 21st Century"

-- Nils Hasselmo, Past University of Minnesota President

"My membership in Triangle has helped me in more ways than I can count. I can include the strong intellectual development/scholarship I had as both an undergraduate and graduate student, the development of sound interpersonal skills, and the enhancement of my technical and professional skills, such as leadership, time management, accounting, and many others, as outcomes of my membership in Triangle. Maybe most importantly, I can count the times where my Triangle Brothers came to my aid during crisis, celebrated with me over successes, and helped me to land the two jobs I've held since obtaining my baccalaureate."

"Participation in Triangle's National Chapter has helped me to strengthen my understanding of human behavior and social interaction and that has been extremely useful to me in my career and family life. Finally, above all, Triangle has helped me to set high personal standards for myself because of the values it reinforced for me."

-- Tim Eiler, Triangle Fraternity Past National President (Minnesota Chapter Alumnus)
Manager of Engineering Document Control, California Microwave
Former Astronaut Instructor, NASA

Membership's Address

Dear Friend,

Friendship is one of the cornerstones of Triangle Fraternity. As we strive to develop our members, intellectually, socially, and professionally, we work hard to provide a good atmosphere for both our members and those who associate with our members. One of the main reasons a person joins Triangle is for the Brotherhood aspects. One develops some of their closest friendships with other brothers at Triangle. Being a brother is a lifelong commitment. It begins by being a New Member where you learn about Triangle through the pledge education program, and develop friendships with the older members. You then move on to Active status, where you begin to take a more active role in the running and expansion of the house. After graduation you then become an alumnus and have the opportunity to participate in Triangle from an outside view. What you get out of Triangle, whether you participate after graduation or not, lasts for the rest of your life.

On a more present note, Triangle is a social and professional fraternity, and therefore does participate in the Greek community. We participate in different social activities such as homecoming, spring jam, parties, exchanges with sororities, etc. It is important to balance your life so that you are not totally focused on grades, although they are still the highest priority. You will use your social skills in all careers and endeavors you will undertake for the rest of your life.

We, at Triangle, believe that developing strong bonds of Friendship with both other brothers, and other members of our community, is essential to becoming a successful individual. We hope that whether you are a brother, would like to become one, or just know one, that Triangle's will always be helpful and friendly whenever you deal with them.

Respectfully,
Eric Brecht
Vice President of Membership
